There were a few surprises at the 2019 Rolling Loud Miami Festival this past weekend. On Sunday (May 12), during Yung Bans’ set, the Atlanta-based rapper brought out YNW Melly’s little brother for a surprise impromptu performance.
While onstage, Melly’s little brother performed Melly’s dark hit single, “Murder on My Mind.” In the clip of the performance we can see, Melly’s little brother raps one of the more truly morbid lyrics on the song as the crowd absorbed every moment.
“He grabbed me by my hands and said he was afraid to die/I told him it’s too late, my friend, it’s time to say goodbye/And he died inside my arms, blood all on my shirt,” Melly’s younger brother spits.
While a performance from Melly’s younger brother is definitely used to being the center of attention when dropping rhymes. There are numerous videos of him rapping songs to his followers on Instagram Live. All you have to do is take a quick look.
Meanwhile, photos of YNW Melly in jail surfaced online last week. In the photos, the Florida rapper can be seen making funny faces at the camera and wearing his signature grills.
Melly is currently awaiting trial on charges of double murder stemming from the deaths of his associates YNW Juvy (Chris Thomas, 20) and YNW Sakchaser (Anthony Williams, 21). The state of Florida announced that they would seek the death penalty in the case because they believe they can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Melly killed his friends for “financial gain.” They’re also convinced that “the murder was especially heinous, atrocious or cruel, and he committed homicide in a cold, calculated and premeditated manner.”
